Short version: nothing you do here is collected, stored on a server, or sold. There are no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no advertising. This page explains that properly, including the bits that aren't entirely within my control.
The tools on this site — including Gair am Air — save your progress in your own browser, using a feature called local storage. That means:
If you type a name into a profile in Gair am Air, that name is stored the same way — in the browser, on the device, and nowhere else. Use a first name, a nickname or a single letter; it makes no difference to how it works.

I do not run my own servers, so a few third parties are unavoidably in the chain. Here is all of them, honestly:

No fonts, scripts or images are loaded from anywhere else. The typefaces used to be requested from Google, which meant Google saw your IP address before you had agreed to anything. They are now served from this site, so that no longer happens. There is nothing embedded from any other company on any page.
There is a separate page for teachers covering curriculum mapping, data protection and accessibility: I Athrawon · For Teachers. The short version is that no data protection impact assessment should be needed, because nothing is processed off the device.
Clock In Sims runs on its own domain and has its own arrangements, which may include advertising. This policy covers takingtimeback.com and the tools hosted on it. Check that site separately.
Data protection law gives you rights to see, correct and delete personal data held about you. In practice there is nothing to exercise those rights against, because no personal data is held. The only data that exists is in your own browser, and the Clear all progress button removes it.
If any of this changes — new tools, a different host, anything at all — this page is updated and the date below changes with it. I will not quietly start collecting things.
